Free Personal Watercraft (PWC) Bill of Sale Template
A personal watercraft bill of sale records a PWC changing hands: the watercraft, the price, the date, and the people signing. Personal watercraft are sold under brand names such as Jet Ski, Sea-Doo and WaveRunner; those names are their makers' trademarks, and this site is not affiliated with or endorsed by those makers.

This page covers the template only, and it does not cover titling or registration of personal watercraft. This site's vehicle state pages, listed on the vehicle bill of sale page, are written for selling a car, truck or van, not for selling personal watercraft.

What to write about the personal watercraft
The template has a line for each of these, so the watercraft can be told apart from any other.
- Year, make and model
- Hull identification number (HIN), if the watercraft has one
- Registration number and title number, if the watercraft has them
- Engine hours, if it has an hour meter
- A trailer sold with it
- Other equipment sold with it
- Its condition, as the seller describes it
How it differs from the boat bill of sale
The boat bill of sale has lines for a vessel name, a Coast Guard documentation number, the length and hull material, an engine, and each party's share of the boat. This template leaves those out and has a line for engine hours.
Frequently asked questions
Does the template cover a trailer sold with the watercraft?
It has one line for the trailer's year, make, and VIN or serial number, so one bill of sale records both. It also has separate price lines for the watercraft, the trailer and the other equipment, and a line for the total sale price. A trailer sold on its own has the trailer bill of sale.
Does the personal watercraft template have a notary section?
No. Below the lines for the watercraft, any trailer and equipment sold with it, and their prices, the template ends with the Sale part and the signature lines. This page does not cover state rules for personal watercraft.
Does the personal watercraft template have a line for the hull identification number?
Yes. It has a line for the hull identification number (HIN), if the watercraft has one, and lines for a state registration number and a title number, if it has them.
